A windowbox for the senses

I recently planted two shady window boxes.  As you know I like form and function, and that carries over even to my plantings.  I put the box together based on color, smell and taste creating a beautiful mixture of flowers and herbs.  I focused only white and shades of green because there are so many other surrounding colors from the house, to the ground plantings, to the sky.  I included gardenias for their gorgeous large layered flowers, white storm for their beautiful trumpet flowers that invite hummingbirds.  And as a surprise, they act as night lights when they reflect the moonlight.  For cooking, there is basil, sage, thyme, lemongrass, curry, pineapple mint and dill.  Now that it is almost June, they are beginning to overflow.  But that won’t last long, as I begin to make tomato salad with basil, lemongrass tea and perhaps a new summer cocktail with a sage simple syrup….. MMMHH!

Not everything we discuss has to be mired in anatomy.  Feldenkrais is a way to inform you to live a more fulfilled life.  I would love to hear from you.  Please share your own summer recipes or plantings to invite the senses and bask in summer!
